Countin’ Flowers on the Wall
With Valentine’s Day looming, here is a quiz about the flowers you may give to that special someone. After the name of each flower, there are four statements. Three are true and one is false. Pick the one that is false. The answers are here.
1. Roses
A. There are three main classes of cultivated roses.
B. Blue roses are quite popular with horticulturalists.
C. Roses are grown from slips or cuttings.
D. The rose is the national flower of Iran.
2. Daisies
A. The daisy is the flower of the month for July.
B. The name daisy comes from “day’s eye” because the center looks like an eye.
C. The American daisy is actually a wild chrysanthemum.
D. American daisies are also called whiteweed.
3. Bluebells
A. All bluebells are native to Scotland.
B. Bluebells are also called harebells.
